Select a department related to your future profession and create a department strategic plan. The plan should include:

• Provide a brief description of the department.
• Identify a healthcare organization’s strategic plan in your state.
• Align your department’s mission, vision, strategic objectives, and key initiatives to the healthcare organization’s strategic plan.
• Analyze external factors that will impact your department in the next three years.
• Analyze external and internal stakeholders.
• Analyze the department’s information technology needs.
• Summarize the department’s health information technology risk plan.
• Summarize the department’s risk mitigation plan.

The Department Strategic Plan

• Must be 8 to 12 double-spaced pages (excluding title page and references page) in length and formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Writing Center Links to an external site..
• Must include a separate title page with the following:
• Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.
• Must utilize a minimum of three scholarly and/or peer-reviewed sources from the University of Arizona Global Campus Library.
• Must document all sources in APA style as outlined in the Writing Center.
• Must include a separate references page that is formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Writing Center.
