College Graduation Anxiety

The most stressful experience I have ever had was through my graduation year in high school. Instead of studying a language, I chose
to realize a project. This meant that I had to come up with an innovative idea, build the project, and finally at the end of the year pitch in
front of the jury to get my grade.

Everything was ready a month before, and I was very happy with my project, however, my happiness didn’t last. The last night before
the pitching I opened my computer for a final check and was shocked by the fact the website didn’t work.

Anxious and frightened I
spent two hours looking for the problem but failed to discover it.

It was 10 pm when I had to choose whether to give up and accept failure or to take the risk of rebuilding the website within 8 hours
which I decided to do at the end.

I started working hard, focusing on managing time and profiting every single second in order to complete the project.

Trying at the
same time to keep my mind focused and boosting my self-confidence. By 7 am everything was ready except the pitching part for which
I was criticized by the jury.

I’ve learned from this experience how to manage both time and stress and how to keep faith in the hardest moments. I’ve also
discovered my ability to work under pressure and learned how to accept criticism and that constructive criticism is necessary for self-improvement.
